Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Installation

  1. Install the PCM and the 2 bolts.
    • Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
    • Install the gasket.
  2. Connect the PCM electrical connector and tighten the bolt.
    • Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
  3. Connect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve return tube at the intake manifold.

  5. Position the RH cowl extension panel and install the 3 screws.
  6. Install the clip on the RH cowl extension panel.

  8. Position the RH cowl panel grille and install the 3 retaining clips (2 shown).

  10. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
  11. Restore the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration restore steps of the Programmable Module Installation procedure. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION article.
  12. Reprogram the passive anti-theft system (PATS). Carry out the Key Programming Using Two Programmed Keys procedure. For additional information, refer to ANTI-THEFT - PATS article.
