If other DTCs are present, REPAIR them before installing a new component.
NOTE:
If the vehicle has been fitted with any aftermarket accessories, they may cause this DTC to set. RETURN the vehicle to OEM condition before carrying out the self-test and installing a new component. CLEAR the DTCs. CYCLE the ignition. REPEAT the self-test. RETRIEVE the DTCs. If DTC B1342 is retrieved, INSTALL a new module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE in this service information. |

| C1267 | ABS Functions Temporarily Disabled | If DTC C1267 is an on-demand DTC, INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE
in this service information. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST DRIVE the vehicle above 40 km/h (25 mph) and CARRY OUT at least one ABS stop. CARRY OUT the ABS module self-test. If DTC C1267 is a "historic" or Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Code (CMDTC), TEST DRIVE the vehicle above 40 km/h (25 mph) and CARRY OUT at least one ABS stop. CARRY OUT the ABS module self-test. If DTC C1267 returns as an on-demand DTC, INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE in this service information. If DTC C1267 does not return as an on-demand DTC, INSPECT the ABS module and connector for corrosion, spread terminals, pushed-out pins and bent pins. REPAIR as necessary. If no damage or corrosion is found, RETURN the vehicle to the customer. |
