Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair




Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor - 3.5L Ti-VCT

Removal

1. Remove the ACL (Air Cleaner) outlet pipe. REFER to Intake Air System Components - Exploded View .

2. Disconnect the CMP (Camshaft Position) electrical connector.

3. Remove the bolt and the CMP (Camshaft Position) sensor.

Installation

1. NOTE: Lubricate the CMP (Camshaft Position) sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil before installing the CMP (Camshaft Position) sensor.
Install the CMP (Camshaft Position) sensor and bolt.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

2. Connect the CMP (Camshaft Position) electrical connector.

3. Install the ACL (Air Cleaner) outlet pipe. REFER to Intake Air System Components - Exploded View .
