Engine Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair




Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) Sensor - 2.0L GTDI

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

1. Remove the ACL (Air Cleaner) outlet pipe and turbocharger inlet pipe. REFER to Intake Air System Components - Exploded View .

2. Slide the insulator up and disconnect the CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature) electrical connector.





3. Remove the CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature) and discard.
- To install, tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).





Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Do not reuse the CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature) sensor, install a new sensor.
