Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

Ignition Switch

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

1. Remove the steering column shrouds. REFER to Steering Column Shroud. Steering Column Shroud

2. Remove the ignition switch in the following order.

1. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.

2. Push the 2 locking tabs inward and remove the ignition switch






Installation

1. Install the ignition switch making sure that the locking tabs are fully engaged.

2. Connect the ignition switch electrical connector.

3. Install the steering column shrouds. REFER to Steering Column Shroud. Steering Column Shroud
