Removal And Installation: Generator: Installation

All vehicles 

1. Position the generator and install the lower generator bolt.
   • Hand-tighten the bolt at this time.
2. Install the upper generator stud and nut.
   • Tighten the generator stud to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
   • Tighten the generator nut to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
3. Tighten the lower generator bolt to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
4. Connect the generator electrical connector and install the B+ nut.
   • Tighten to 17 Nm (150 lb-in).

     3.5L GTDI vehicles 

5. Install the A/C compressor. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL .

   3.5L Non-GTDI vehicles 

6. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner and install the accessory drive belt on the generator.
7. Install the upper radiator hose support cradle and reposition the upper radiator hose into the cradle.

   All vehicles 

8. Install the engine cover.
