Module Communications Network DTCS

BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DTC CHART

DTCs Description Action
U0004 High Speed CAN Communication Bus (+) Low: No Sub Type Information A HS-CAN fault was present at a point in time. The fault is not currently present since the module is communicating with the scan tool. CLEAR the DTC. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool. VERIFY the integrity of the connectors and wiring. Refer to SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS - Module Communications Network for additional information.
U0005 High Speed CAN Communication Bus (+) High: No Sub Type Information A HS-CAN fault is present but the network may still be functional at a degraded level. One or more modules may not communicate and may not be sending or receiving messages. GO to PINPOINT TEST Z .
U0007 High Speed CAN Communication Bus (-) Low: No Sub Type Information A HS-CAN fault is present but the network may still be functional at a degraded level. One or more modules may not communicate and may not be sending or receiving messages. GO to PINPOINT TEST Z .
U0008 High Speed CAN Communication Bus (-) High: No Sub Type Information A HS-CAN fault was present at a point in time.
U0009 High Speed CAN Communication Bus (-) Shorted to Bus (+): No Sub Type Information A HS-CAN fault was present at a point in time.
U0013 Medium Speed CAN Communication Bus (+) Low: No Sub Type Information A MS-CAN fault is either currently present or was present at a point in time. The BCM can report this DTC while a fault is present because the BCM communicates with the scan tool on the HS-CAN. If no MS-CAN modules communicate, GO to PINPOINT TEST AA . If all MS-CAN modules currently communicate, CLEAR the DTC. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool. VERIFY the integrity of the connectors and wiring. Refer to SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS - Module Communications Network for additional information.
U0014 Medium Speed CAN Communication Bus (+) High: No Sub Type Information A MS-CAN fault is present but the network may still be functional at a degraded level. One or more modules may not communicate and may not be sending or receiving messages. GO to PINPOINT TEST AA .
U0016 Medium Speed CAN Communication Bus (-) Low: No Sub Type Information A MS-CAN fault is present but the network may still be functional at a degraded level. One or more modules may not communicate and may not be sending or receiving messages. GO to PINPOINT TEST AA .
U0017 Medium Speed CAN Communication Bus(-) High: No Sub Type Information A MS-CAN fault is either currently present or was present at a point in time.
U0018 Medium Speed CAN Communication Bus (-) Shorted to Bus (+): No Sub Type Information A MS-CAN fault was present at a point in time.
