Car Configuration Parameters

Car configuration parameters affect both the BCM and IPC. The parameters are set in the BCM. The parameters are also set in the IPC as backup data for service, in case online As-Built data is not available.

A scan tool is required to set the car configuration parameters. During a PMI of the BCM, As-Built data must be obtained and installed. Any changed customer preference items are returned to the factory settings and must be manually reset.
