Diagnostic Aids

For DTC U3000:49, the presence of this DTC may or may not affect steering assist. It depends on what other DTCs (if any) are set along with U3000:49. Diagnose all other DTCs before diagnosing U3000:49.

For DTC U3000:61, the PSCM removes steering assist, enters manual mode and transmits an invalid steering angle message over the HS-CAN. The PSCM also sends a message to the instrument cluster to display POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT in the message center.

The presence of either of these DTC prevents the active park assist system (if equipped) and lane keep assist system (if equipped) from activating. If set during an active park or lane keep assist event, the event is terminated and the assist system is deactivated.
