Ignition Coil-On-Plug: Installation

Both sides 

1. Inspect the ignition coil-on-plugs. Replace any damaged ignition coil-on-plugs. Replace any of the ignition coil-on-plug boots with cracks, rips or tears.

   Left side 

2. 1. Install the ignition coil-on-plugs.
   2. Install and tighten the ignition coil-on-plug retainers.

      Torque: Stage 1: 62 lb.in (7 Nm) | Stage 2: 50 deg.

3. Connect the ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors.

4. Install the engine appearance cover, then install and tighten the engine appearance cover retainers.

   Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

   Right side 

5. 1. Install the ignition coil-on-plugs.
   2. Install and tighten the ignition coil-on-plug retainers.

      Torque: Stage 1: 62 lb.in (7 Nm) | Stage 2: 50 deg.

6. Connect the ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors.

7. Install the engine appearance cover, then install and tighten the engine appearance cover retainers.

   Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
