Axle Ratio Identification: Ford
The axle ratio code is stamped on the Vehicle Certification Plate located on the rear face of left door on all models. The first 2 digits of the code identify the ratio and capacity of the rear axle. The third digit of the code identifies the ratio and capacity of the front axle. Rear axles have a tag bolted to drive axle that contains drive axle ratio. Code designations are as follows:
