Removal & Installation: Notes
CAUTION:
When working on a collapsible steering column, do not bump or hammer on column components. With the column removed from mounts, it is easy to damage. When removing the steering wheel, do not hammer on puller to aid removal.
NOTE:
Correct column installation is important to prevent stress on components during mounting. Using improper screws, nuts and bolts could prevent assembly from compressing under impact.
