Programmable Read Only Memory (Prom) R & I: Installation

Check that new PROM has the same service number as the old one. Place new PROM in ECM. Position PROM carrier squarely over PROM. Press on PROM carrier until PROM is firmly seated in ECM. Make sure reference notches in PROM and ECM are aligned.
Reinstall PROM access cover and screws. Reinstall ECM in vehicle as previously described.
