Towing (With Ignition Key)

CAUTION: DO NOT use steering lock mechanism to lock front wheels in straight-ahead position.
  1. To tow with front wheels raised, place transmission in Neutral. Release parking brake. Do not tow faster than 35 MPH or further than 50 miles.
  2. If necessary to tow at a rate of speed or a distance to exceed specification, remove drive shaft. Secure drive shaft to underside of vehicle. Tape "U" joint bearing journal caps.
  3. To tow with rear wheels raised, place transmission in Neutral. Release parking brake to prevent driveline damage. Clamp steering wheel in straight-ahead position.
