Service is recommended at mileage intervals based on vehicle operation, emission classification, and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR, VIN Position 4). Emission classification is identified by engine VIN code (except diesel-powered vehicles). Manufacturer's Schedules identify items to be serviced based on type of operation.
