Retrieving & Clearing DTCS

NOTE: Disconnecting battery cables or BCM harness connectors will NOT clear history DTC(s).

A scan tool must be used to retrieve and clear DTCs. The scan tool also has several features that can be used to help locate an intermittent condition.

DTCs can be cleared using a scan tool. If conditions for malfunction no longer exist, history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles.
