Remote keyless entry system is used to lock and unlock vehicle doors and liftgate window. Transmitter sends coded signals to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR), capable of recognizing 4 transmitters. RCDLR, located in left side instrument panel sound insulator, decodes signal from transmitter and issues signal to Body Control Module (BCM) through serial data link. System also uses existing power door lock components. System has a remote panic alarm on transmitter (imprinted with horn symbol).
