Installation Procedure

Remove the caps from the fuel pipes.
Install the new fuel pipe O-rings.
Position the new pump in the pump bracket.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Connect the fuel feed pipe and suction pipe to the fuel pump. Use a backup wrench to prevent the pump from turning.
Tighten

Tighten the fittings to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

Connect the electrical connector.
Lower the vehicle.
Tighten the fuel filler cap.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Inspect for fuel leaks.
1. 9.1. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
2. 9.2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
3. 9.3. Turn ON the ignition switch.
4. 9.4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
