Removal Procedure

  1. Loosen the clamp on the air duct at the mass air flow (MAF) and intake air temperature (IAT) sensor (3).
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the MAF/IAT sensor (3).
  3. Unlatch the air cleaner housing retaining clips (2) and lift the housing top cover (1) to gain access to the air filter element.
  4. Lift out the air filter element.
  5. Inspect the air filter element for the following:
    • Dust
    • Dirt
    • Water
  6. Clean or replace the air filter element if required.
