Installation Procedure

Install the negative battery cable.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the negative battery cable nut to the block.
Tighten

Tighten the negative battery cable nut to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

Install the negative battery cable bolt to the engine.
Tighten

Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

Install the negative battery cable bolt to the radiator support.
Tighten

Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

Install the bolt anchoring the negative battery cable bolt to the frame.
Tighten

Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
