Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Locating Spark Plug Wires & Ignition Coil Wire

  1. Disconnect the spark plug wires and ignition coil wire from the distributor. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Replacement .

  3. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor harness connector from the distributor.

  5. Remove the distributor cap screws.

  7. Remove the distributor cap.

  9. Remove the rotor screws.

  11. Remove the rotor.

  13. Align the square slot in the reluctor wheel with the CMP sensor.

  15. Remove the CMP screws.
