Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the replacement PCM from the packaging.
  2. Verify the service number in order to ensure the service number is the same number as the faulty PCM.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Connect the PCM electrical connectors.

    Tighten:  Tighten the PCM electrical connectors screws to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  6. Slide the PCM retainer into the PCM bracket slots.

  8. Pull the PCM retention bar into position.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  10. Program the PCM. Refer to Control Module References in Computing/Integrating Systems.
