Fuel Tank Draining Procedure (2-Door Utility)
CAUTION:
Gasoline or gasoline vapors are highly flammable. A fire could occur if an ignition source is present. Never drain or store gasoline or diesel fuel in an open container, due to the possibility of fire or explosion. Have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher nearby.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the fuel filler cap.
- Disconnect the fuel fill hose from the fuel tank (4-door utility only). Refer to Filler Tube Replacement (2-Door Utility) or Filler Tube Replacement (4-Door Utility Lower) .
- Use a hand operated pump device in order to remove the fuel through the fuel filler pipe (2-door utility), or through the fuel tank fill pipe nipple (4-door utility).
