Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the distributor. Refer to Distributor Replacement .
  3. Remove the fuel pipes. Refer to Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement - Engine Compartment .

  4. Disconnect the knock sensor harness connector (3).
  5. Remove the knock sensor retaining bolt (1).
  6. Remove the knock sensor (2).
