Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Locating Bolt Retaining Seat Belt Retractor Assembly

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
Tighten: Tighten the seat belt retractor assembly bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

Guide the seat belt through the opening in the body side trim cover.
Install the body side trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Body Side (2-Door Utility) or Trim Panel Replacement - Body Side (4-Door Utility) in Interior Trim.
Install the seat belt opening trim cover by firmly pressing the cover into place.

Install the upper seat belt anchor plate and bolt to the vehicle.
Tighten: Tighten the upper seat belt anchor plate bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).
Close the upper seat belt anchor plate cover.

Install the lower seat belt anchor plate and bolt to the vehicle.
Tighten: Tighten the lower seat belt anchor plate bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).
