Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (8) from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor (9).




2. Remove the ECT sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Install the ECT sensor.

Tighten the sensor to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).




2. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (8) to the ECT sensor (9).
