Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) .
2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .

Procedure

1. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
2. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor from the thermostat housing.
3. Install a NEW seal if not replacing the sensor.
