Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at all position sensors.
  2. Disconnect the harness connector at the K19 Suspension Control Module, ignition ON.
  3. Test for less than 1 V between the following K19 Suspension Control Module 5V reference circuits and ground.
    • Terminal 7
    • Terminal 12
    • If greater than 1 V 

      Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.

    • Go to next step: If less than 1 V 
  4. Ignition OFF.
  5. Test for infinite resistance between the following K19 Suspension Control Module 5V reference circuits and ground.
    • Terminal 7
    • Terminal 12
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Repair the short to ground on the circuit.

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  6. Ignition OFF, connect the harness connector at the K19 Suspension Control Module, ignition ON.
  7. Verify the scan tool Suspension Position 5V Reference parameter is greater than 4.75 V.
    • If 4.75 V or less 

      Replace the K19 Suspension Control Module.

    • Go to next step: If greater than 4.75 V 
  8. Clear the DTCs.
  9. Connect each position sensors one at a time. Verify DTC C0870 is not set after each position sensor is connected.
    • If DTC C0870 is set 

      Replace the position sensor that set DTC.

    • Go to next step: If DTC C0870 is not set 
  10. All OK.
