Circuit/System Verification

Engine ON.
Verify that no other DTCs are set.
- If any other DTCs are set
  Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set
Verify the backup lamps turn ON when transmission is shifted into reverse.
- If the backup lamps do not turn ON
  Refer to Backup Lamps Malfunction .
- Go to next step: If the backup lamps do turn ON
Clear DTCs
Verify the DTC does not set while operating the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC.
- If the DTC is set
  Replace the K17 Electronic Brake Control Module.
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
All OK.
