Installation Procedure
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket (1) - Install
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb/in)
Electronic Brake Control Module with Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (1) - Install
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb/in)
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Nut (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb/in)
Left Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Install and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb-ft)
Right Front Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Install and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb-ft)
Left Front Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Install and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb-ft)
Right Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Install and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb-ft)
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe Fitting (1) - Install and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb-ft)
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Pipe Fitting (1) - Install and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb-ft)
Electronic Brake Control Module Electrical Connector (1) - Connect
Radiator Surge Tank (1) - Install - Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LYX without KL9) , or Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LTG LYX with KL9)
- Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)
- Perform the diagnostic system check. Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle
- Observe the brake pedal feel after performing the diagnostic system check. If the pedal now feels spongy, air may have been in the secondary hydraulic circuit of the brake modulator which may have been introduced into the primary circuit.
