Circuit/System Testing

  1. Vehicle OFF, disconnect the X1 connector at the K219 Lighting Control Module and the connector at the affected headlamp assembly.
  2. Test for infinite resistance between K219 Lighting Control Module connector X1 terminal 6 and ground.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Repair the short to ground on circuit 11369.

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  3. Reconnect the harness connectors at the K219 lighting control module while leaving the headlamp connectors disconnected.
  4. Vehicle in Service Mode.
  5. NOTE:

    Additional DTC (s) will set with the headlamp connectors disconnected during testing.

  6. Verify DTC U1015 is not set.
    • If DTC U1015 is set 

      K219 Lighting Control Module - Replace

    • Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set 
  7. Vehicle OFF. Connect ONE side headlamp connector while leaving the other headlamp connector disconnected.
  8. Vehicle in Service Mode.
  9. NOTE:

    Additional DTC (s) will set with the headlamp connectors disconnected during testing.

  10. Verify DTC U1015 is not set.
    • If DTC U1015 is set 

      Replace the connected headlamp assembly.

    • Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set 
  11. Replace the disconnected headlamp assembly.
