Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. IG Key "ON".
  2. Connect the GDS in the vehicle.
  3. To read the transfer case data in old ITA (ECU), select "ECU Data Back-Up & Writing" service of GDS.

  4. IG key "OFF".
  5. Remove the under cover.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  6. Disconnect ITA (ECU) connector (A).

  7. Release 2 screws (A).
  8. Remove the 4WD ITA (ECU) (B).
