TCM Learning
- Overview and purpose of learning
- The purpose is to ensure the initial operation safety by correcting the oil pressure differences between transmissions.
- For relearning of TCM, process relearning by deleting existing contents using GDS when there is shift shock at gears 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8.
- TCM learning condition
- Transmission assembly and TCM replacement
- Maintain the APS constantly during the upshift while shifting gear (10% < APS < 25%).
- Repeat the above procedure at least five times as shown in the pattern illustration below.

- Condition
- Engine in hot status (status with idle RPM stabilized)
- ATF temperature: 30 ~ 95°C (86 - 203°F)

a. Stop learning
- Repeat the shift pattern shown in illustration below five times or more with the brake stepped on.
b. Driving learning
Maintain the throttle opening to a constant level with the gear in D position and increment from 1st to 8th gear and decelerate slowly.
With (ON, throttle opening: 0%), decrement from 8th to 1st gear.
Upshift throttle opening: 10 - 25%
Repeat the driving pattern above five times or more.
