Description And Operation: Description
The Boost Pressure Sensor (BPS) is mounted on the intercooler and measures the pressure of the intake air supercharged from the turbocharger.
ECM uses this information to control the WGT by controlling the electronic WGT control actuator.
Also, it protects the engine by limiting the engine power when excessive pressure of the intake manifold is detected in order to prevent the engine from being damaged by the excessively high supercharged pressure which may be able to occur by the faulty turbocharger.
When transmitting the signal to the ECU, a digital value corresponding to the measured pressure is transmitted by using the SENT Transceiver type.
