Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Use the lift to lift up the vehicle.
  3. Remove the engine room rear under cover.

    (Refer to ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Under Cover")

  4. Remove the heated oxygen sensor [Bank 1/Sensor 1].

    (Refer to [BANK 1/SENSOR 1]  Engine Control/Fuel System - "Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S)")

  5. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).
  6. Remove the installation bolt (B), and then vertically remove the sensor from the transaxle housing.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
