Gasoline 5.0
CAUTION:
- Replace O-Ring (A) before reinstalling the AWD ITA (ECU).
- Check the connector pin for erosion.
- Connect vehicle wire and ITA connector (A).CAUTION:
- If the ITA is changed it should be paid attention to the position of the dihedron (interface between actuator shaft of the ITA to the transfer case).
- Install the new AWD ITA (ECU) (A).
- Tighten the fixings to 22 N.m (2.2 kgf.m, 15.9 lb-ft).
- Install the cross member (A).
Tightening torque:
49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb-ft)
- Remove the transmission jack.
- Install the under cover.
(Refer to Engine mechanical system - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
- IG Key "ON" Engine off.
- To write the transfer case data in new ITA, select "ECU Data Back-up & Writing" service of GDS.
- Write vehicle variant code: HI
- To perform the initial calibration, select "T/C Clutch Calibration" service of GDS.
- IG Key "OFF", and wait for 10 seconds or so.
- IG Key "ON", engine "OFF".
- Check if transfer case data are written correctly using "ECU Data Back-up & Writing" service of GDS.
- Check DTCs, for pending DTC, and if there are any pending DTCs, delete them.
- If there are still pending DTCs or incorrect written data, turn IG off and repeat the whole procedure from No. 5.
- No DTC's available and correct backup data written, service procedure is successful.
