Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear propeller shaft.

    (Refer to Driveshaft and axle - "REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ")

  3. Loosen the bolts (A) and nuts (B) and then removing the transmission bracket (C).

    NOTE:
    • support the transmission solenoid valve body cover using a jack.
  4. Disconnect the parking switch connector (A).

  5. Loosen the fastener and then separate the parking release cable (A).

  6. Loosen the nut (A) and the bolts (B) and then removing the parking switch.
