Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the rear-left wheel & tire.

    (Refer to Suspension System - "REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

  3. Remove the rear-left wheel guard.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "REAR WHEEL GUARD ")

  4. Disconnect the vapor hose quick-connector (A).
  5. Disconnect the vent hose quick-connector (B).

  6. Remove the fuel tank air filter bracket (A) after loosening the bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

  7. Remove the fuel tank air filter (A) by rotating it 30 degrees.

  8. Disconnect the canister close valve connector (A).

  9. Remove the Canister Close Valve (A) by rotating it about 30°.
