Removal And Installation
NOTE:
- Install the component with the specified torques.
- Note that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped. If the component has been dropped, inspect before installing.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
- Remove the engine cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE COVER ")
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the high pressure fuel pump.
(Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP ")
- Disconnector the oil pressure and oil temperature sensor connector (A).
- Remove the oil pressure and oil temperature sensor (B).NOTE:
- Check if O-ring remains inside the oil pressure & temperature sensor when removing the OPTS. (It is necessary to remove the O-ring)
- If oil, coolant, foreign material is remaining in the Connector of the OPTS, replace it with a new one.
Tightening torque:
31.4 ~ 38.2 N.m (3.2 ~ 3.9 kgf.m, 23.1 ~ 28.2 lb-ft)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
