Removal And Installation
NOTE:
- Install the component with the specified torques.
- If a part is dropped, replace it with a new one and discard the dropped part as invisible damage may be caused.
- Be careful of foreign material not to flow into the valve.
- Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the rear-left wheel guard.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "REAR WHEEL GUARD ")
- Disconnect the vent hose quick-connector (A).
- Disconnect the vapor hose quick-connector (B).
- Disconnect the canister close valve extension connector (A).
- Disconnect the vapor hose quick-connector (A).
- Remove the canister assembly (B) after loosening the mounting nuts (A).
Tightening torque:
18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb.ft)
- Disconnect the vapor hose quick-connector (B) after loosening the bolt (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)
- Disconnect the canister close valve connector (A).
- Remove the fuel tank air filter bracket (A) after loosening the bolts.
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)
- Remove the fuel tank air filter (A) by rotating it 30 degrees.
- Remove the canister close valve (A) by rotating it 30 degrees.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
