CODE 41, IGNITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT NO SIGNAL LSi CONVENTIONAL IGNITION SYSTEM: Notes
This ignition system has a standard vacuum advance. The ignition system sends a signal to the ECM. The ECM uses this signal to determine when to pulse the fuel injector. Code 41 sets if the ECM does not receive a signal for 2 seconds.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- The ignition system sends an AC voltage that varies while engine is being cranked.
- This checks ECM and noise suppressor.
- This tests noise suppressor.
- This checks pick-up coil in distributor.
