Code 41, Throttle Switch Circuit: Notes
On manual transaxle equipped vehicles, the ECM supplies 4-5 volts to a throttle switch on the throttle body. When engine is idling, the ECM senses a low signal voltage, with slight throttle, ECM will sense a high signal voltage. At wide open throttle, signal voltage is low. Code 41 will set if ECM sees a low or high voltage signal all the time.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- The ECM supplies battery voltage to the throttle switch. Poor connection or a ground circuit will indicate a low signal.
- This will check for a misadjusted throttle switch.
