Dashpot Adjustment

Warm engine to operating temperature and turn all accessories off. Ensure idle speed is within specification. Disconnect and plug vacuum advance hose. Adjust Engine speed to 1900-2100 RPM. Dashpot adjustment screw should contact dashpot shaft. If necessary, rotate dashpot adjustment screw until it touches dashpot shaft. See Figure .
