Timing Measurement Parameters

Set timing at slow idle and Before Top Dead Center, unless otherwise specified. 1.0L 2V, 1.5L leave all distributor hoses connected.
1989-90, 1.0L TBI ex. LSI: Jumper terminals "C" and "D" of diagnostic connector by ignition coil.
1.6L Nova, Prizm FI: Jumper terminals "T" and "E1" of diagnostic connector underhood.
All others: Disconnect and plug distributor vacuum hoses. 1.0L LSI, when vacuum hose is connected timing will increase to check specification.
