Remove, Overhaul & Install: Remove/Install/Overhaul: Introduction: Disassembly: Body

  1. Remove throttle return and secondary spring. Remove clip and disconnect diaphragm chamber rod from secondary valve shaft. Remove control cable bracket bolt and screws on bottom side of body.
  2. Remove diaphragm chamber and gasket. Remove slow-cut solenoid valve. Remove clip, strainer and check ball from accelerator plunger well. Use care not to damage pump bore during clip removal.
  3. Remove main jet plug. Note location and size of primary and secondary main jets. Remove primary and secondary main jets with packings. Remove primary and secondary venturi assemblies.
  4. Remove main air bleed jets. Remove plug and primary slow jet. Remove plug and pump injector spring. Remove pump weight and check ball. Remove plug and secondary slow jet. Remove idle up jet. On the flange, remove mixture by-pass solenoid valves and TPS valve. Remove throttle body flange from body.
NOTE: Do not immerse diaphragm, electrical components, or synthetic parts in carburetor cleaner.
