Park/Neutral Switch

Disconnect park/neutral switch. Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between specified wires with gearshift in proper location. See PARK/NEUTRAL SWITCH CONTINUITY table. Continuity should exist as listed.

Gear Position Wire Colors
Park Black & Blue/White, Black/Red & Black/Yellow
Reverse Red & Yellow
Neutral Black & Blue, Black/Red & Black/Yellow
Drive Black & Green
2nd Gear Black & Green/Red
Low Black & Green/Blue
NOTE: For vehicle speed sensor, following procedure applies if Code 24 is stored in ECM or suspected incorrect input from vehicle speed sensor exists. Connector C1 (10-wire connector) is located on right corner of instrument cluster and C2 (12-wire connector) is located on left side of instrument cluster.
