Throttle Position Switch: Adjustments

Throttle Lever Stop Screw:

Throttle Switch Check:

The throttle lever stop screw is not used to adjust throttle switch. It is set at the factory. DO NOT attempt to adjust throttle lever stop screw.

1. Insert 0.6 mm (0.024") feeler gauge between throttle lever stop screw and throttle lever.

2. Connect DVM between terminal "A" & "B."

3. First, turn TS fully counterclockwise, then clockwise till DVM reads open (no continuity).

4. Tighten TS screws. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS.

5. Check that there is not continuity with a 0.9 mm (0.035") feeler gauge inserted between throttle lever stop screw and throttle lever.

6. Check that there is continuity with a 0.3 mm (0.012") feeler gauge inserted between throttle lever stop screw and throttle lever.

7. Connect TS electrical connector.

8. Install air cleaner assembly.
