Air Valve

Remove throttle body assembly from intake manifold. Separate upper and lower bodies. Remove air valve from lower body and place sensing portion of air valve in water. See Fig 1 . Heat water to 140°F (60°C). Ensure valve fully closes. Replace valve if it does not perform as described. Reassemble both bodies and tighten screws to 31 INCH lbs. (3.5 N.m).
