Code 41, Throttle Switch Circuit (VIN 6): Notes

On vehicles equipped with manual transaxle, the ECM supplies 4-5 volts to a throttle switch on the throttle body. When engine is idling, the ECM senses a low signal voltage, with slight throttle, ECM will sense a high signal voltage. At wide open throttle, signal voltage is low. Code 41 sets if ECM sees a low or high voltage signal all the time.

1. The ECM supplies battery voltage to the throttle switch. Poor connection or a ground circuit will indicate a low signal.
2. This checks for a misadjusted throttle switch.
