Vehicle Speed Sensor ECU Code 24 (Storm GSi Only)

Check speedometer operation. If speedometer operates correctly, proceed to step 2). Repair or replace speedometer if speedometer is not operating properly.
Disconnect speedometer cable from speedometer head. Disconnect 16-pin connector from ECU and 24-pin connector from ECM. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between White wire of ECU connector and ground while rotating speedometer.
If resistance varies between zero ohms and infinity, replace ECU. If reading was steady at infinite ohms, repair open in White wire between ECU and ECM.

NOTE: Following procedure applies to 4-speed A/T models with Code 11 stored in transaxle Electronic Control Unit (ECU), NOT Electronic Control Module (ECM). Procedure also applies if VSS input is suspect.
